Euro Champ Michele Di Rocco?s Public Workout In Milan | Boxing News | Fightnews

That was the first time that Milan hosted a boxing champions public workout. The event took place in front of the temporary store of Leone 1947 in downtown Corso Buenos Aires and hundreds of people stopped by. Im very happy about it, Alessandro Cherchi said. And about all the journalists and photographers that showed up. Even city councilman Pierfrancesco Maran came to the public workout and posed for a photo with Michele. Beasley, Williams Impress On 3rd Day Of Combine Workouts - Yahoo Sports

On the third day of workouts at the annual NFL scouting combine, Beasley pulled off an impressive double - posting the fastest 40-yard dash time of the day at 4.53 seconds and sharing the title of most bench press reps at 225 pounds with 35. Beasley did that despite weighing in at 246 pounds. The 302-pound Williams, who played defensive tackle in college, did nearly as well. Though he did not lift Sunday, Williams was clocked at 4.97 seconds in the 40 - the same time posted by Jameis Winston on Saturday and matching the fastest time turned in by an offensive lineman on Friday.

The workout is legit, but it turns out the Mets involvement may not be as deep as it originally appeared. Here's more from Rubin: The Mets made several points in defense of the structure, including that Barwis is an independent contractor using Mets facilities, that players are provided three meals daily, and that it would cost money for the players to hire trainers in the offseason anyway. They insisted that the camp really is voluntary. USA Today has also been tracking the story. When reached for comment by USA TODAY Sports, a Mets official reiterated that the workouts are completely voluntary and noted that Barwis pays rent for use of the facility in the offseason.
